The OMI Pulmonology Department offers to respiratory patients both outdoor clinics and hospitalised services directed by a very senior pulmonologist. It comprises of experienced in-house consultants, a visiting faculty, and a clinical research back-up team.

Filter clinics are also available for infections and interstitial lung diseases. These clinics are customised for safety in this COVID-19 era and observe strict SOPs.

Pulmonary function tests are available during the consultation if required and therwise by appointment. These tests are performed on state-of-the-art spirometry, qoscillatory and perfusion equipment form the basis of objective assessment of obstructive airway diseases; bronchial asthma, COPD and overlap diseases, industrial/occupational diseases, and interstitial lung disease.

Semi-Invasive Diagnostic Procedures Include:

  • Fibreoptic Bronchoscopy is done on state of art endoscopes under imaging facilities by senior bronchoscopists performing endobronchial and transbronchial biopsies and bronchoalveolar lavages which help in diagnosing lung cancers, infections, and many other diseases
  • Sleep Clinic and Polysomnography facilities for the diagnosis and correction of Sleep Apnea OSA and RLS in the form of both in-hospital and extended home services.
