At OMI Hospital we pride ourselves on being able to provide the expertise of some of the best cardiologists in Pakistan. The cardiology team provides 24/7 cover in emergencies, chest pain unit, ICU, cardiac observation rooms, and in-house referrals. Cardiology outpatient clinics are also providing regular services 6 days a week.

Our qualified and experienced technicians are performing non-invasive procedures such as adult echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, stress echocardiography, exercise tolerance test, holter monitoring (24 hrs to 72 hrs) and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.

The ICU at OMI Hospital is a fully equipped state of the art facility where experienced ICU doctors and nursing staff are present round the clock to provide comprehensive treatment and post-angioplasty monitoring. The cardiac observation room contains central monitoring facilities for cardiac patients who do not require intensive care. Post-procedure patients are also accommodated there as advised by the cardiology team.

OMI Hospital has a 24-hour cardiac catheterisation laboratory (cath lab) where diagnostic imaging equipment is used to assess the condition of the heart’s arteries and any abnormalities. Our cardiologists perform procedures such as the coronary angiography and angioplasty here. Well trained and highly experienced cath lab technicians provide the required assistance to the interventional cardiologists.

OMI takes pride in a less than 60-minute ‘door-to-balloon’ time, which is made possible by efficient and timely coordination between the chest pain unit, ICU and cath lab. The chest pain unit is fully equipped to deal with all sorts of cardiac emergencies. The consultant cardiologists are also available 24 hours to treat the patient in the chest pain unit, if needed.
